Recommended Fall Skin Care

Fall in love with beautiful skin

As the summer weather comes to an end and the cool fall temperatures kick in, you can expect to see a difference in your skin. This difference also requires a change in your beauty routine! Check out our list of recommended daily steps and products to keep your skin soft and healthy:

Step 1: Moisturize!

The change in weather may mean a change in your skin type as well. The cooler temperatures tend to cause dry skin, so it may be better to switch to a lighter cleanser that doesn’t dry-out your skin even more. Alumier HydraSmooth Moisturizer is an ultra-light, non-comedogenic hydrator specifically formulated to restore clarity to acne-prone skin. It uses a combination of antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and healing ingredients. The multifunctional hinokitiol is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory with excellent action against P. acnes bacteria!

2. Use A Gentle Exfoliator

While it is still important to scrub out impurities during the fall months, you should be careful not to choose an exfoliant that will over-dry your skin. We suggest using SkinMedica’s AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser, it gently scrubs away dead-skin cells and impurities, boosting over-all skin tone and texture.

3. Opt for a light chemical peel!

In order to ward off the dry, flaky, skin that usually accompanies the transition into fall, use this enzymatic peel from Alumier at home. This is a highly effective exfoliator that combines 10% lactic acid with fruit enzymes bromelain and papain to exfoliate dead skin cells and promote skin renewal, minimizing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. Aloe vera extract calms inflammation and redness, while sodium hyaluronate, vitamin B5 and gluconolactone hydrate and soften skin for a supple and radiant complexion.

4. Keep Using Sunscreen

You might think that because the sun isn’t as strong in fall, you can skimp out on the sunscreen. Don’t be deceived! It may not be as hot but the sun still gives off rays that can damage your skin and lead to wrinkles. We recommend SkinMedica’s Total Defence & Repair Sunscreen, this revolutionary superscreen goes beyond UV protection to defend against harmful infrared rays while supporting the skin’s ability to restore itself. It’s powerful enough to protect you and light-weight enough not to clog pores. Also available with a tint so it can be incorporated into your makeup routine!
